Adults playing soccer to support children in need
New York Soccer Project is a division of the World Soccer Project (WSP), which is developing top-notch charity soccer leagues for adult players in several cities.
As an adult playing in a WSP league (e.g., for the New York Soccer Project), you're helping to support local and global causes for under-served children.
In NYC, we're fully funding NYC's first Independent Schools soccer league. The NYISL is for schools that don't have the resources to support a soccer team and for schools with existing teams that haven't been given access to the Public Schools Athletic League. Additional support for the NYISL comes from our corporate sponsors: adidas and City Sports
The schools league's Spring Season will kick off on April 26th, 2012, at McCarren Park.

Why we're the best rec. league in NYC
We're the only NYC rec. league that's affiliated with the national adult soccer association (USASA). This means we're the only rec. league in NYC that provides accident coverage to players and that uses accredited, USSF referees.
We work hard to get the details right - to 'professionalize' amateur soccer. We offer more games than other leagues. Our games are longer. We don't crowd fields with multiple games or stuff teams with too many players. We use top-quality match balls. And yet we still charge less than other major NYC leagues.
